How to verify your YouTube channel

Verifying your YouTube channel is a way to establish authenticity and build trust with your viewers. Here are the steps to verify your YouTube channel:


  1. Sign in to your YouTube account and go to your channel page.
  2. Click on "Settings" gear icon in the top right corner of the youtube screen.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select "Channel Status and Features."
  4. Scroll down to the "Verification" section and click on the "Verify" button.
  5. Enter your phone number and select whether you want to receive the verification code via text or voice call.
  6. Once you receive the verification code, enter it in the space provided and click on the "Submit" button.

If your account is eligible for verification, you should now see a checkmark next to your channel name. If your account is not eligible, you can still work on building your audience and meeting the eligibility requirements in the future.

Note that verifying your channel does not automatically enable monetization or access to the YouTube Partner Program. You still need to meet the eligibility requirements and apply for monetization separately.
